Barnegat Bay has a strong sailing and maritime heritage which has spanned more than one hundred years, and continues to this day. The Bay has produced numerous avid and successful sailors, at all levels, including the Olympics. Today there are many thriving yacht clubs on the Bay that continue to produce sailors of all ages, host national and international regattas, and proudly carry on this heritage.
The Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame exists to promote and preserve this unique area's past and future sailing heritage. To this end, the BBSHF recognizes those who have contributed to, or continue to further this heritage.
Each Alternate year, a class of inductees will be chosen from those nominated by the Barnegat Bay sailing public.
This website includes information about upcoming events, the nomination process, and those who have been inducted into the hall of fame.
